![]() However, the only way to disprove this is to try to see a city on the other side of the world with a huge telescope. Light reflecting off the water allows you to see it. Second, is that it is an illusion of bending light. First, is that it didn't go far enough away and the disappearing was a perception problem, not because it went too far past the Earth's curvature. ![]() One guy said that if you took a big telescope then you can still see the boat over the horizon. Likewise, if you watch a boat head off into the sunset, eventually it will disappear. ![]() This is evidence that the world is round, not that it's a flat disc. If you go high like in a plane you still see a line, not Antarctica. I don't want to know anything, so don't waste my time. The Issue: If you look into the horizon you see a line, not the end of the Earth. I don't care and I don't need to know what you say you believe. If sceptimatic would just say," I know what I believe. Maybe we could give sceptimatic a bit more credbility if he would just be like Sherlock Holmes on the earth and sun. Question for jroa.: Do the seasons change instantaneous according to Flat Earth or does the sun gradually shift from one orbit to the other to change the seasons ? Whom can you believe, a round earther or Sherlock Holmes ? Sherlock Holmes once told Doctor Watson he didn't know, didn't need to know and couldn't care whether the earth orbited around the sun or the sun orbited around the earth. In other words the sun "shifts gears" to change the size of its orbit which causes the seasons. Of course you can make your own opinion of whether the earth orbits around the sun or the sun orbits around the earth. ![]() It changes the diameter of its orbit to cause it to be larger or smaller and hence nearer or closer to the earth to cause the seasons. The sun orbits around the earth according to Flat Earth. ![]()
